The Real Betrayer: How Shoghi Effendi Destroyed the Baha'i Faith

Image
The history of the Baha’i Faith, which started with the noble vision of Baha’u’llah to unite humanity under a banner of love, unity, and spiritual enlightenment, took a dark turn with the rise of Shoghi Effendi. While Baha’u’llah’s teachings were centered on the betterment of humankind, Shoghi Effendi’s actions warped those teachings into a system of control, hierarchy, and political maneuvering that veered far from Baha’u’llah’s original intent.     Shoghi Effendi: A Manipulator, Not a Guardian Shoghi Effendi, who named himself the "Guardian" of the Baha’i Faith, wielded his position not to protect or uphold the Faith, but to consolidate power around himself. While Baha’u’llah’s message was one of spiritual freedom, Shoghi Effendi created structures designed to silence dissent and centralize control, particularly through his iron-fisted approach to the Baha’i administrative order. Under Shoghi's rule, a system of absolute obedience was developed, alienating many

Important Questions for the Haifan-Baha'i Leadership from Iranians and Non-Iranians

Image
Let's take a closer look at some pressing questions regarding the Haifan Baha'i movement, specifically directed at its leadership—the Universal House of Justice (UHJ). While commentators may share their thoughts, the responsibility for addressing these concerns lies squarely with the UHJ. These are questions that many have been asking, and it’s time for the leaders to provide direct answers.       QUESTIONS: Does the Haifan-Baha'i Leadership (the UHJ), which customarily fails to make itself open to public questioning, understand that this lack of transparency makes its organization suspect in the eyes of many Muslims and non-Muslims alike? ( Note : By "failure to make itself available to public questions," I mean in formats like town-hall meetings or open forums without strict censorship, not canned interviews on platforms like VOA or BBC. Even the Pope, rabbis, and Muslim clerics frequently hold public, open-question-and-answer discussions, often on video and in

The Burning Shrine of Abdul Baha – Failure of construction safety or incineration of evidence of corruption.

Image
The news of the fire which broke out at the under construction shrine of Abdu'l Baha in the early part of April was indeed very sad news. The blazing flames and the tower of bellowing smoke made the whole scene appear as an eternal inferno. Such visuals of the shrine of the Master brought both tears into my eyes as well as a rage in my heart. How could such a catastrophe happen? The shock had not cleared out when came down the heavy hand of the administration over the dissemination of the sad news. The “Almighty Administration” without mincing words through their minion assemblies asked the faithful to stop spreading the news and also asked, in a stern tone if I may, to delete any and all media regarding this utterly sad incident. After this sorry attempt at censorship came the, as expected, sombre sounding message :-   " A major fire broke out earlier today at the construction site of the Shrine of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá. The fire has now been extinguished and no one has been injured.

Nine or Nineteen Members on the Universal House of Justice? – A debate in the Baha'i Faith

When someone joins a religion, it will always be riddled with uncertainty for him or her rather than filled with faith. Even if one was born into the faith or grew up among the most devoted of friends and relatives, this is true. A religion journey is usually distinguished by great joy, astonishment, and exquisite camaraderie, as well as a great deal of doubt, difficulty, and grief. Okay, so it's acknowledged that doubts are a natural component of religious beliefs, and when people have concerns, they strive to work through them, investigate them, and emerge stronger and more confident in their views. Perhaps there are good answers to your doubts, and as a result, your faith will be stronger and more solid. On the other hand, if you don't get any positive replies, you'll be forced to choose between sticking with a religion you know isn't logical and abandoning it in favour of ideas that are. Now, imagine there are contradictions and incompatibilities in wh
